Mini-incision total hip arthroplasty (joint replacement) Not all patients are candidates for the two-incision hip procedure. At MIMIS, we also perform the one-incision “Mini Hip.” We use traditional surgical techniques and prostheses, but we reduce the size of the incision to about 3 ˝ inches. Patients usually spend 3 days in the hospital after surgery and experience a significant portion of over-all recovery in the first month—three months for a more complete recovery. |
