Traditional rotator cuff repair requires a 3-5 inch incision—usually through muscle and tendon tissue. The result can be a significant degree of pain and a prolonged recovery period.
Here at MIMIS, we have developed a procedure for repairing the rotator cuff through an arthroscope. The incision for this procedure is about 3 centimeters. Since there is significantly less damage to muscle and tendon tissue, there is significantly less pain- and a faster healing time.
