Trivex varicose vein removal
Using a unique illumination system, the surgeon identifies and removes the vein- and confirms it has been removed completely. The procedure involves placing a small surgical device that removes the vein under direct visualization using a transilluminating light. The light is inserted into a 2 millimeter opening and illuminates the area of the leg so that the surgeon can visualize the veins through the skin. This process is not only more effective, but also more complete and less traumatic. It reduces the number of incisions needed to perform the procedure and cuts the time needed to perform the surgery significantly. Studies indicate that the TriVex procedure reduces the pain of varicose vein surgery. The surgery is usually performed as an outpatient procedure and takes less than an hour.
