LOCAL EYE SURGEON ATTENDS SCIENTIFIC SEMINAR

Crosby, MN (May 10, 2007) – The Crosby Eye Clinic is pleased to announce that Dr. Jerome D. Poland, owner of the Crosby Eye Clinic, recently attended the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery's (ASCRS) annual scientific meeting held in San Diego, California. During the five-day seminar, the most up-to-date ophthalmic research papers are presented along with group discussions and course offerings on transferring this technology. Dr. Poland was also trained in a new glaucoma procedure that eliminates or reduces the need for eye drops.

Dr. Poland is a veteran ophthalmologist and adjunct professor at the University of Minnesota’s Medical School who has lectured nationwide on various ophthalmic issues, including the 2005 ASCRS ophthalmic convention. He is one of the pioneers in refractive surgery and has been extensively involved in the research and development of lens implants currently used worldwide in cataract surgeries.
